out in the san jose area. that rain has been a little bit more consistent. but again it's all really kind of high based that the clouds are dynamics basically. the strength of this storm is still offshore. so what we're seeing is these light areas spinning on shore. that's the way it's going to go tonight. when i say spinning on shore, they're coming back up. tonight at 9:00, here it comes it's actually moving this way this band of clouds. it kind of dissipates at midnight. here we go into your friday and it clears out. it looks like it's going to clear out in terms of cloud cover as well. you're going to start to see clouds rebound on friday back into the upper 50s and low 60s. so this last 24 hours of rain kind of dry because we've had moisture in the area but it's not producing significant rain. so clouds and shower tonight. that low goes off. this high stays here. temperatures as you head into your bay area weekend they're back in the 60s and low 70s as i mentioned. so it's going to be a really nice 72 hour period coming up. again i wish we were getting

you can see those areas of mid and low level clouds here across san jose. kind of a beautiful picture. we've had so much sunshine this year we get any clouds like this and it's a nice change for us. also in san francisco, it's gray. we do have winds 5 to 15 miles per hour but most importantly for tonight if you do have plans it is going to stay dry. a real interesting pattern shaping up. the storm system really hasn't been this size getting this close to us for probably a month, month and a half at this point. a huge area of low pressure soeshl associated with a cold front dropping in the pacific. we also have subtropical moisture tapping in from hawaii streaming in. there's a lot of dynamics with this that would ordinarily provide us with a strong storm system but the one thing that's going to be lacking is strong upper level dynamics. we'll get moisture in here but it doesn't look like it will squeeze out some of the heaviest rainfall of 2013. so do expect rainfall but don't expect a huge deluge across the bay area. we'll find temperatures in the 50s at t
